Through thirty years of hard work and determination, Mike has helped to forward the cause of responsible residential design, earning him admiration and respect from both the residential design and construction industries. As an active professional member of the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD), Mike has served as a National Executive Officer and currently sits on the Florida and National Board of Directors of AIBD.  In 2001, Mike was selected by his peers as the AIBD “Designer of the Year”.

Mike is a Certified Professional Building Designer (CPBD), a Florida Certified Building Contractor (CBC1254329) and a Home – Property Inspector (HI-691).  He holds designations such as Certified Green Professional (CGP) and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS).  Furthermore, Mike has recently completed the Level I certification with Green Builder College and is working on his Level II certification. Mike is also the majority shareholder in FDS Engineering Associates, our sister company, and Custom Country Homes, a custom home building company located in North Florida.

Mike shares his good fortune in many ways, by giving his time to charitable events or by sponsoring civic and fund raising activities.  He sits on the Advisory Board for the Construction School at Seminole State College and, in the past, sat on the board for Seminole County’s Habitat for Humanity chapter. Mike provides those less fortunate by offering educational opportunities. He is also an active member of his church and local community.
